Berkeley alumna Julia Morgan and her design partner Ira Hoover architected the single-family home at 2232 Piedmont Avenue in 1908. She would later become the first woman to receive the AIA Gold Medal, the American Institute of Architects’ highest award. The newly renovated building reopened in February 2025 to house the newly established eHub with the purpose of making entrepreneurship easier and more accessible for everyone.
