MEET THE STUDENT

Born and raised in the South Bay, I’m a Bay Area native through and through. I went to Cal for my undergrad, where I got my B.S. in Bioengineering and minor in Computer Science, and I loved it so much that I came back for round two with the Master of Translational Medicine (MTM) program through UC Berkeley/UCSF. Through my experiences with entrepreneurship, both with my dessert business and research project turned tech venture, I’ve learned that truly bringing your own visions to life, no matter how small, is the most fulfilling calling. Within the startup world, medical device innovation and medical treatments excite me the most, especially when they involve AI, but I also love all things fashion, baking, and the outdoors!

ENTREPRENEURSHIP GOALS

In the short term, I want to continue working on my wearable device/mobile health startup, PosTrue, and turn our lab prototype into a real device that can improve the lives of sedentary workers. I also want to expand Cakistry, my dessert business, by growing my social media presence and settling on a business model that allows me to run it successfully as a side business. In the long term, I want to be able to support myself with a business that I have built myself, ideally in the health tech space. What is most important is that it is something that motivates me to wake up every day and makes a difference in people’s lives. I’m not quite sure what that will look like yet, but it’s a work in progress.

WHAT ABOUT THE EHUB MOST EXCITES YOU?

I am most excited about the community aspect of the eHub! We have a dream team of women running this new entrepreneurship hub, and I want to work with them to build a pressure-free space for students to come together to work on their passion projects and contribute to an environment where students root for each other. Being an entrepreneur can be very challenging, and a strong community is absolutely necessary to ensure success. I am excited to help students discover the eHub and connect with like-minded students, and I look forward to chatting with eHub members about all their wonderful ideas!

LOOKING FOR HELP WITH

Through my role at the eHub, I am looking for mentorship from our awesome executive director, Dawn, as well as a community of people who want to forge their own path and build something from the ground up. I especially look forward to meeting people who are interested in being entrepreneurs but are unsure or scared to take that first step because I was once at a similar point in my own journey. I’d love to see them take the leap and accomplish great things.
